Title: Help - Baisley (Beazley) marriage in Northants look up - wife missing!
Post by: 32ndiris on Tuesday 19 April 11 22:21 BST (UK)
Hi everyone
I'm not sure what to do about this! I am researching a Beazley line and see there is "chat" on here about it but I am asking for some different info.
On freeBMD it gives a marriage for James Baisley in the first Q of 1872 in Northampton vol 3b 103 but there is no wife listed. It lists 3 men and 2 women getting married in Northampton registration area in that Q of 1872.
This could just be the James I am looking for, born in Bethnal Green 1853. He had 2 children born in Northampton before going back to Bethnal Green in 1879 (that's what I am told!). The children were Elizabeth Beazley and James Beazeley born at Wellingborough 1875 and 1877 respectively. These are listed on BMD.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out the wife of this man please?

Hi,

I had a look at the 1881 census ref: RG11/318/31 p 6. It looks like these are the right people.

James Beasley, his Wife Elizabeth born abt 1854 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, 3 children, James & Elizabeth born in Northamptonshire & Henry born in 1880 in Shoreditch.

If these are the right people it gives the Wife's name as Elizabeth as a starting point.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Richard

Theer is a postem on the freebmd site stating that Walter tyler should be on P 105. So that tally is 'correct' if you believe that.

The birth certificate of one of the children should tell you the maiden name of the mother. That will help to find the correct marriage.

Thanks everyone I was trying to sort it without paying anymore money out as it is for a friend who is not well and I thought I would cheer him up!
I wonder when the postem was added - it wasn't there when I looked. Just looked and it was yesterday!
So appears that this is not the right Beazley then. Thanks for looking.

Hi,
All four have the same reference 3b 103, Walter Tyler could be seen as 3b 103 but I think its 3b 105.
