I have found in a second hand shop, a baptism certificate for the above person, dated 28 February 1885. His father was William Wadsworth, and the mother was Christine Sophia, and it seems that she was German according to the 1891 Census. The baptism took place at Wakefield in Yorkshire. This certificate is free to anyone with an interest.

Hello Dale, yes I am interested in the certificate, Henry was the brother of my great-grandfather Leopold. Could we talk further about this on my email address (*). I am also interested in where you found this certificate, which 2nd hand shop, as we have tried over the years to track down photos, drawings etc of this family. The location of the shop mght give us a starting point,
Thanks

Hi
I would be very happy to let you have the original certificate if you forward me your address. The reason I enjoy rescuing items like this from second hand shops etc. is that I can re unite them with close family who will value them. I found it in a box of papers in a second hand shop in Wells, in Somerset, and when I am next there, i will look again to see if there are any more Wadsworth papers there, as these things are usually in job lots.
Best Wishes Dale

Hi Pam. I will pop it in the post in the next couple of days. One thing though, I made a mistake on the original post regarding the date of the baptism. It should read 28 Feb 1875. Henry was born and baptised in Wakefield in Yorkshire, so I have no idea how his baptism certificate should end up in Wells in Somerset.
