Hi,
I am trying to find information about John Pemberton and Elizabeth Camwell married 08/01/1787 St Michael's, Coventry, Warwick, England. I know they had at least 4 children oldest born 1788, ? born ?, George Pemberton born 1797 Kersley, Warwickshire and Ann Pemberton 1806.
I dont really know where to go from here due to dates etc
Any help would be great
Thanks
Rose :)

Hello Rose & welcome
When you say you don't know where to go,are you looking for John & Elizabeth's parents?
I can tell you the missing children are Elizabeth Pemberton/Ch.18.8.1788/Corley.Cov & John Pemberton/Ch.21.8.1791/Corley,Cov.
Corley is about a mile down the road from Keresley & the Parish Church Of St. Mary's covered Keresley which didn't get one of its own until 1844.There's also George Pemberton listed there b.1797.Parents John & Elizabeth.
John b.1791 was a cordwainer (shoemaker) & remained unmarried.Interestingly in 1841 he's living between 2 Camwell families.
Hope this helps

Hi Jim,
Thanks so much for all that information it all helps.
I would now like to go back further and dont even know if this is possible. I would like to know if there is a website i can get this info from as i live in NZ, dates like births and deaths of John and Elizabeth and then their parents etc.
Can you give me some advice / help please?
Thanks

The NBI has 1 possible burial for John:
18/4/1804/St.Mary's,Corley,no age given
There's also this one which is possibly his son;
John Pemberton/18/2/1860/St.Thomas's,Keresley aged 68.
Nothing for Elizabeth.
I would advise going to your nearest LDS Family Centre & getting the St.Michael's marriage & birth fiches.
What you need to know from the marriage is:were they married by Banns or Licence, were they "of full age" & are there any Pemberton/Camwell witnesses.
As Camwell is a Coventry name (most Warks Camwells seem to be there) look for Elizabeth on the birth fiches, probably born around 1760-65.
You may have to bear in mind that Elizabeth & John for that matter may have been Christened under another name.
