Hi I have obtained the CD for Memorial Inscriptions for Lochgoilhead, and although I did not find the names that I was seeking, I am prepared to look up for anyone that may be looking for family buried at Lochgoilhead.
There are 46 memorials that are unreadable and are listed as unknown so even if you believe that your relative was buried at Lochgoilhead, there may not be a memorial or it may be one of those that are unreadable.
send a PM with your information and I will look for you.

I have a few Weir and McGibbon ancestors buried at Lochgoilhead so I'll take you up on that offer.
As a matter of interest, where did you get the CD and how much did it cost?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi ozymozzy,
The cd is available at scotland-monumental-inscriptions.com for 6 pound
It is very well put together with an index and photographs.

Thanks for that.
The reason I ask is I've had varying results with 'family tree' type CDs. Some don't work on Windows 7, others are priced out of my reach. I got one set, 'British Isles Vital Records Index' that has 16 discs in it and so far have hardly found anything useful.

The 'British Isles Vital Records Index' simply adds a bit to the IGI, some of it repeated. There is a huge percentage of the population that has never been covered by the IGI, not online or on cd. much has been filmed but is only available by hiring film from the Salt Lake City via one of their churches. The staff are very helpful and you don't require to be a member to use the facilities.
go to http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
and click on ]place search' among the blue buttons on the right hand side. Put in the parish, ie: Lochgoilhead, or county you're researching and follow the links. it will bring up all the records they have available on film or printouts. when you follow each return, ie: Church records, you'll see a clickable 'View Film Notes at the top of the page. Through that you'll find what they have in the way of baptisms, marriages and burials. You can be lucky, or sometimes not.
A Wyanga said, http://www.scottish-monumental-inscriptions.com/ has a selection of MI CDs, under 'products' > 'Argyll'. He states the CDs suit Windows or Mac
happy hunting

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has access to information on burials in Lismore. I've tried Scotland's People with no success. I believe several relatives died in Ballachulish. I found them there in various censuses but have had no luck finding when they died.
Thanks, Nan
