Hi, I am new to this site and this is my very first post, so bear with me as I am responding to a post from 2006 I came across. My gr grandmother is Mary Radcliffe, born around 1883 in Cheshire county, England. I have had a bugger of a time trying to find the rest of her Radcliffe family and I wondered if anyone has information on this Mary who married William Greaves in 1906 in Tameside, Cheshire?

Hi and welcome to Rootschat, have you the marriage certificate of William and Mary? If you have was her Father shown as being Samuel, as their is a possible Mary b 1883 in Stalybridge on the 1891

Wow that was fast! Thank you to both Huckleberry and Keyboard86. My grandmother is Jessie Greaves, and I had found Samuel and Bertha but wasn't positive about anything else. Thanks so much. I really can't wait until the 1911 census is available, so many holes to fill until then. Thanks again.

The 1911 census is available but you cannot request lookups from it on Rootschat, you must search for yourself.

If your Radcliffes do not connected with Magrat's then it would be better if I split your posts off and moved them to the Cheshire board or posted them as a new topic on the Lancashire board whichever you prefer . This is really Magrat's topic for her Radcliffes.

Hi, thanks, good idea. Sorry, I wasn't trying to intrude on Magrats but haven't seen anyone looking for Radcliffes and was hoping for a connection with mine and maybe we will find they are somewhere down the road since they are from the same area.
