Hi,
I am looking for any information regarding the O'Hagans of Armagh.
My husbands x3 great garndfather was Frlix O'Hagan, who moved from Armagh to Scotland(Coatbridge) at some point before 1901.
Felix Married Annie Caddell in 1909 in St Marys Church, Coatbridge.
I think that Felix was orginally from Lurganborn arounf 1880, and his parents were Felix O'Hagan and Elizabeth Murray.
Any help finding out when Felix moved and anything about his parents would be great.
Thank you

Hi,
Cannot find your Felix 1880 but Felix O'Hagan married Elizabeth Murray in Lurgan Roman Catholic Church on 5 Aug 1869.

Thats great!!! Thank you. He seems like a bit of a mystery until his appearence in 1901 census, in Scotland.

Hi,
Don't know if it is relevant but the PRONI Wills site gives the record of a will of Felix O'hagan, a farmer of Turmoyra (just to the north of Lurgan) who died on 28 Aug 1903 in Lurgan. Probate was granted to John O'hagan, farmer.

Again I think that might be Felix Srn. On Felix and Annies marriage record, Felixs fathers occupation is farmer. I wonder who John O'Hagan is tho?
-
Hi,
John may be the eldest son. On the 1911 census for Ireland he is aged 31 and living in Turmoyra with his wife and new born child.

Thats great, i shall ask my grandfather-in-law, to see if he remembers Felix having an older brother.
Its a shame that the 1901 census is not available for free at the moment.

Hi,
This may be useful. I have come across a site, www.connorsgenealogy.com and when I entered
O'Hagan Lurgan it took me to a site which stated that an O'Hagan went to Scotland in 1887 and there is a contact, FELIX O'HAGAN.

Yes I had seen that, my computer wont let me contact the person who added the information.

Hello,
I have hit a very frustraing brick wall with some family tree research that I have been doing.
Im looking for some info on Felix O'Hagan born in about 1836 in Armagh, I believe that he married a lady names Eliza Murray in Lurgan Roman Catholic church in Shankill in 1869. The witnesses were Richard and Mary Cabry. I then have him on the 1901 census as a farmer living in Turmoyra. I also believe that he had 4 sons and a daughter. But that is all I have
Ideally I am trying to find out who his parents were and any information between 1869 and 1901.
Any info or tips would be great.
