Hello all,
Can anyone recommend any web sites that feature Pontypridd
local history/family history?                                                    Also my g.grandfather was a coal hewer living in Pontypridd 1890ish onwards, how can I find the local mines he may of worked at.

there were several mines in the pontypridd area ,
you could look in search engine for
lady windsor colliery or the albion colliery and there should be links to more welsh pit sites.

You could try this site  www.pontypriddmuseum.org.uk  I am trying to trace my family history, and my father was born in Pontypridd in 1908, I visited the museum last weekend, and they have alot of information regarding the town. They are extremely helpful.
