Hi;
I have Copper's, Walker's, Fox's, Grant's and Westons....all from Philadelphia, Pa. and from Leciester, England...most were Framework Knitters in england and involved in the knitting mills in Philadelphia.
Let me know if this is of interest.

Hi Sweitz,
What towns or villages do your Walkers come from? I'm interested in finding more info on Walkers from the Whitwick area.

I will dig out all the old pictures. Most everything is in notes on the backs of the pic's. Grandmother, Gertrude Elizabeth Fox's way of passing info on. Be back soon.

Here's Edna Walker, My Grandmother states: " This is Aunt Charlotte's Daughter - Edna Walker"..... I am working on exactly how the relation computes....
My Grandmother's , Aunt Charlotte, so I'm not sure who that is to me...
My Grandmother's aunt = My Grandmother's - Mother's - Sister???
So my Gr.-Gr.- Aunt. Is there such a thing???

Hi Sweitz,
I'm sure you can have a Grt Grt Aunt, I never met my Grandfather on my dad's side but, I classed his brother as my Grt Uncle Harry Walker, I only have pictures of my Grandfather Thomas Edward Walker, his wedding, honeymoon pic & a couple of holiday pics. He married Jane Salisbury in 1927 & died of what they called The Black Flu four years later, 1931.
Danone, who's thread this is, has Walkers in his family tree from around Whitwick.
Regards,
Spatts.

Gee.
The name "Harry Walker" is clicking in my head! My Grandmother used to talk about a Harry Walker.....the Walker's......and the hosiery business. It was big in Philadelphia....I have to go to storage...cause we have/had pictures of the girls in the mills, and the assembly of the mills here in Philadelphia.
My Grandmother's Father, James fox, put the machinery together, etc. He is listed as a FWK. I will hurry up and get info together. Hope to post this evening.
Thanks for all your help and interest

Spats;
I will post everything I have but just so you know.....I am not familiar with any areas where you live. Told you I was a little slow about all this. So when you say "Walkers from the Whitwick area" - it is lost on me.
I will just give you any and all info I have on our Walkers, with what details I have. Hopefully you can tell me if there your Walkers of interest. :P
