Hi, I would be grateful if anyone could help me with this.
Thomas Nunn b 1801 and Susan Neale b 1800 had I believe 10 children as per 1841 census, one of whom was George b 1825, possibly bap 29/5/1825 (he is 16 in that census and appears in no others with the family) however I have contact with some people who believe this George died in infancy and Thomas and Susan had another son George b 1827, however this George is not in the 1841 census and I believe they are confusing him with a George b 1827 in Badington on the other side of the county.
It would help me if someone could look up the Herringswell records to see if indeed 2 Georges 1825 and 1827 were born to Thomas and Susan and if so did one indeed die in infancy.
Many Thanks
Morleyman

Taken from Herringswell parish register.
Children of Thomas and Susan Nunn (late Neale).
Thomas = a labourer
Mary Ann 14th Sept 1823
George 29th May 1825 bn 11th April
George 12th August 1827 bn 16th April
Eliza 7th March 1830 bn 16th Feb
Kazia 25th Dec 1831 bn 8th Dec
Ellen 15th Sept 1833 bn 29th May

William 2nd July 1837 bn 25th Feb
John 25th Dec 1838 bn 5th June
Lucy 7th Feb 1847 (sic) bn 1840
These were the only baptisms I could see for this couple, so must be missing one!
Both Georges were given as sons of Thomas and Susan, although I could not see a burial for the first George at Herringswell.
Also:
Amelia illegitimate d/o Eliza Nunn bap 5th August 1849

Many many Thanks for that Anne, that does clarify things, I just have to find out what happened to them later now, surprising Hannah is not listed, the census returns all quote Herringswell as her birth, perhaps it was Mildenhall.

Hello, I was wondering whether there might any baptisms or burials for a Charles Nunn and Alice Houghton having children at Herringswell? They were married the 2nd Nov 1807 at Mildenhall Suffolk. Charles might be originally from Herringswell c1780. Regards Judy Brodie p.s. I can help anyone with records at Lakenheath or Mildenhall.

Suggest you may get more luck starting a new post on the main Suffolk board rather than attaching to a 2 year old one on the completed look ups board. :)

Hello Judy
Have just found Charles & Alice (nee Houghton) Nunn. I have just returned from Engl. where I found them they are buried at St.Peters Church Moulton Suffolk. I am descended from George Nunn b. 1819 Herringswell.
