I am trying to find out the names of my father's parents. I know he lived in Denaby near Doncaster and he was a postman there for a number of years.
I am just starting my search.

I see he married in 1938 Doncaster reg district
Marriage March qtr 1938   
Rigby  James  (spouse Ward)     
Ward  Alice  (spouse Rigby)

Doncaster registration district ref 9c 1131 

It would be best to get the marriage certificate which would give fathers names etc.  This applies to your other post regarding Alice Ward as well.
