I don,t know if this is a link but on death certificate of Rose O'Hara died 12th January 1884 it states that she was previously married to:
1. Duncan McTaggart (my ggggrandfather) who died in 1864.
2. William Smith aged 41 (from 1871 census) states living at 4 south street, parick, glasgow.
May be a long shot, as census states william was born in ireland.
Do you by any chance have a Duncan McTaggart born around 1823/1824 to Duncan McTaggart (occ.farmer) and Rachel Taylor?
