I gather there are access restrictions to the NZ BMD records. Does anyone know what the rules are?

Thanks for your response. I had a look at the NZ web site and as the info I require falls within the last 100 years I think I'll give NZ the miss.

is it births or marriages
we can look at marriages to 1956, they are on CD by NZSG, but you would need to pm the name as we can't put the info on the board.
There are fiche with BMD on that can be looked at, libraries in NZ and many overseas have these in their family history sections
It is no problem getting non-historical records, you just need to complete the registration process.
