??? I wonder if anyone can help solve a mystery please? My father-in-law tells me his mothers maiden name was Millist and on his birth certificate it shows as Millist but I cant find any records for Florence Amelia Millist! His father was Richard J Loveys and the only marriage entry we can find of the right dates and area to a Florence Amelia gives her maiden name of Carr...and yes you have guessed it..I cant find any other records for a Florence Amelia Carr either! RichardfLoveys was born 1892 in London. Totally bamboozled now and dont know what else to try! My father-in-law believes there may be a Northants connection too.
Thanks

Could be Florence was born a Millist married a Carr, then married Loveys? I have an ancestor who when registering births would change from maiden name to previous married name, or indeed include both!! ;D
OR was a Carr THEN a Millist!!!

The answer is her name was Amelia Florence - not Florence Amelia. Great Aunt Flo went by her second name. My dad knows more. I'd like to swap info so please private message me!
