Hi all,
I'm putting together a slide show on a CD. Can somebody please tell me how to add a soundtrack so it plays at the same time ?
I'm sure it's possible, and easy for some, but I'm stumped.
Leonie.

Hi Leonie
Try Windows Movie Maker. I have made a few slideshows of holiday photos with music playing in the background.

Hi Leonie
Have you actually got it on to a CD yet? I've been playing about with the program and it works fine on the computer, but when I've burnt it to CD it copies the pictures but not the music. Any ideas?

Thanks, I've done it now. I put it on another DVD and it worked, so no idea what happened the first time. Now I've got another thing that will stop me wasting time doing all the things I should be doing around the house. ;D ;D ;D

Glad I'm of use for something KHP. ;D
I've been getting some help from the art site I use, Renderosity, and the bloke on there has shown me a screen shot of how to set the length of time the slide stays on the screen. Then all I have to do is add up all the time multiplied by the number of slides and I will know how long a piece of string is ... erm...how long a piece of music I need. ;D This is getting very interesting.
I mean...if I'm going to have an exhibition of my photography, I want to make it worth while for people to walk in off the street. I figured if I had a slide show going on my laptop it would catch people's eye.
I've got until at least July to get it down pat. Unless someone drops out of the program :o ??? then I'll be in a hurry.

I had a similar experience recently. On the death of my mother-in-law, I volunteered to do a slideshow of photos for the funeral. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Checked with the woman from the funeral directors, yes a slideshow was ok as long as it was on a dvd.
So I used Powerpoint, no problem, the music all synced beautifully. Took it over the day before just to make sure it worked there, and was told that it had to be able to play on a dvd player (see how the instructions changed?).
A quick google found a free program called powerpoint video converter. Still all ok, just a little upset at the funeral place. Converted the slideshow to dvd format no problem.
About midnight that night I finished syncing the music! The new format changed the length of the slideshow.
I dropped the finished dvd off first thing next morning with gritted teeth and bleary eyes.

Fun, innit? ;D
You should try a raku firing...just for a change of pace. ::) I'll tell you about it later.
