Any information on the possible identification of Ellen McCoubry dob abt 1820 Ireland (possibly Down)

The name Ellen may be a derivative of another name but not sure.  Hew spouse was Alexander Brown dob abt 1815 Ireland (possibly Down)

Chidren were:-Eliza Ann, John McCoubry Brown, Hugh, James and Alexander.

Any pointers would be most appreciative

Hi,
    A parent search on the old IGI- www.familysearch.org shows several of the children born in Co. Down, eg Hugh christened in Ballynahinch 1st Presbyterian Church on 2 Aug 1847. As you stated the spelling of the mother's name varies from child to child.
