Post by: b1gobby on Sunday 27 March 11 18:36 BST (UK)
I am looking for my maternal grandparents, they came from glasgow and i think they married there, and had the children there before moving to dundalk , co louth ireland. Their names are Henry Loughran and Catherine nee McCabe and they had four daughters, Mary, Margaret, Catherine and Phylis and a son that died as a baby called Sonny, they lived opposite the (barrs or parrs) drink factory.
any help would be great, thanx very much.

Hi b1gobby

The marriage shows on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk in 1920 in Glasgow with the spellings you have for their names. It is within the dates that you can view the marriage cert. on line on Scotlands People. Scottish marriage certs include full names of bride and grooms parents, including mothers' details which will let you work back to their families.
