Title: Need Infomation on Robert Mathie of Barony

 Need more information on the family of Robert Mathie who married Agnes Ramsay on 25 Apr 1843 in Barony.  They had about 8 children most born in Barony and 2 girls born in Blythswood, Glasgow.  First born was David in 1844, Robert in 1848.
 I would like to find Agnes Ramsay in the 1841 Census as well as Robert Mathie in the 1841 census.  Also, their daughter Cecelia "Hill" Mathie I would like to know if Hill is a reference to a family name.
Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply and SP reference to the deaths of Robert & Agnes Ramsay Mathie. 
I was able to find the names of Robert's parents on SP which led to his parents' marriage.  Also, thanks for the 1881 census info.  However, I would like to find the Robert & Agnes Mathie family in 1871.  I would appreciate your help as I wasn't able to find them in 1871.

Using the info that Ev has found, I think this might be the family in 1871. The transcription is not great, so names seems confusing. Bear in mind also that I think wife Agnes is showing as Annie (a common variant of Agnes). Hopefully the original may be clearer:

Robert Mathie 51, minner (?miner) b. Monknash (?spl), Fife
Annie Mathie 48 b. Glasgow
Thomas Mathie 16 b. Glasgow
Caulin Mathie 9 b. Glasgow (Cecilia?)
Jence Mathie 6 b. Glasgow (Janet?)
Jamesson Leaser 17 servant
William Wilson 21 lodger
David Foder 21 lodger
Alice Dick 18 lodger

have you tried this link in your search for the 1841 census http://www.freecen.org.uk/cgi/search.pl  there are 19 Robert Mathies, and 98, for Agnes Ramsay

perhaps Diane could give us the the names of roberts parents to check ?

Sorry for the delay in replying to you.  For some reason my email sent all your recent posts to the "Spam" file which I just checked today.

Robert Mathie's parents names were:  David Mathie a ploughman and Cicilia "Hill" - the name I was questioning on some of the children's names.
