Hello,
I am trying to find where my grandparents were laid to rest, they lived in Hunslet, Yorkshire, not sure when they died but im 1911 they were both aged 46.
I have searched the records for StMarys Hunslet, but they are not in there, dont know of any other cemetery.

Hi,
Without a death certificate it would be difficult to find a burial; most authorities will search their records if given a date of death.
It could be that one or other of them moved into a different area; best thing is to try to find their death registrations.

Hi Nanny jan
thank you for the reply, i have tried to find registration but not found anything as yet.
The family stayed in the area from what my mum told me. Sarah Elizabeth and John Richarson Reynolds both born 1865. John mother Mary Ellen died in Hunslet, she lived with them for a time, then the eldest grandaughter went to live with her, but still in hunslet.
I wondered if there had been another cemetery in the area.

Hi,
I'm not familiar with the area but could they have been buried in a churchyard or, if they were Catholics, in a Catholic Cemetery?
It's a long shot but is it possible they were cremated?

Hi,
Does the CD state that it lists all burials in Leeds? What years are covered?

Hi,
Have you discounted this on FreeBMD deaths?
John R Reynolds MarQ 1924 Holbeck 9b 967 age = 59

Hi,
Yes i did see that, my mum was born 1937, she remembers him with an ivory handled walking stick so that counts the 1924 death out unfortunatley

Hi, Just seen your query. I had the same problem (but Manchester). I tried the Genuki web site and found loads of churches. I have looked up Leeds but don't know the area too well but here is the link. Hope its useful
