Hi can anyone help? I am looking for any info for John William Noon & Cathrine O'brian married in Dunbar 30th Nov 1906. I got this info from my grandmothers birth cert but can find no records relating to it. My grandmother was born in Kinghorn in 1913 and was adopted sometime later. ???

KNOX & NOON.noon is not a common name in dunbar so maybe if you tried "the dunbar community"website, someone may be able to help.this website is free to join
and you can post any questions you want to other members.Dunbar has a strong historical society so i'm sure

Hi Bryso. Managed to get some info on Scotland's people just the spelling was a bit different (Katherine O'Brien). I'll give the dunbar site a go and see if anyone can help me further.

Hi, I am the granddaughter of Bessie Nora Noon the sister of Minnie Noon, have just started tracing the family tree. Have found out John William Noon died in 1956 in Direlton, East Lothian but cannot find anything on Katherine Noon. My grandmother was brought up by an uncle and aunt in Dunbar and I only found out about Minnie from another site which stated she had been adopted. John Noons parents were John Henry Noon and Honora Minnie Noon nee Dickenson, will keep you informed if I find out anything more. My grandmother never spoke about her parents and did not know she had a sister.
