Hello everyone ,I was hoping for some help.
I am trying to find the birth details or any other info on John McCormack.
All I know is that he was born somewhere in Scotland on or around 1876.
He later moved to Belfast where he married and remained.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Kohinoor8080,
Not much to go in there, as this is quite a common name in Scotland. Have you got his Belfast marriage lines or his death certificate, if you get parents names from these certificates, we may be able to help.

Is the Belfast entry 1901 or 1911? There is a possible family in 1891 Glasgow.
Monica :)
Added: I can't easily see the Belfast entry, but I will post the 1891 Glasgow entry in the meantime - everyone born in Glasgow except for father:
Robert McCormack 40, joiner b. Dumbarton
Mary McCormack 39
John McCormack 13
Robert McCormack 11
Jeanie McCormack 8
Elizabeth McCormack 5
William Thomson McCormack 1
Isabella McCormack 1 Month
Address: 11 Balmanno St, Blackfriars Glasgow

Sorry that should be 1901 Belfast census

The 1891 census entry would fit well with that 1901 census entry in Belfast. Hopefully you can go on to find out more info about the family in Glasgow.
I can't see that 1901 census entry in Belfast, what was father Robert's occupation showing as?

Just seen we have gone through this all in detail before www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,469850.0.html (including me posting all the above info previously!)
Did you follow up on any of the suggestions made by everyone from the previous post?

Just noticed that Monica, I've been trying to trace 4 different sides of our families for over a year now and didn't realise I talked to you before.
Sorry for that and thanks for your help.

My Dad actually remembers John McCormack, he was his grandfather's brother (William). He visited William in Liverpool when my Dad was about 10 years old.
