Good evening
Sorry this is somehwhat of a tall order.
According to my records I have my Williamson family in Carlton in 1841, Drigg in 1851, Mile End, Drigg in 1861 and Mile House Gree, Drigg in 1871. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the original source or census transcripts.
Father - John died bef 1841
Sarah born c 1797
Askew Williamson chr 1834 Drigg
Jane Williamson chr 1835 Drigg died 1836
Sarah Jane Williamson chr 1837 Drigg.
Margaret dau of Sarah Jane born 1861
John Thomas son of Sarah Jane born 1867
I would be grateful if this census information could be confirmed.
I believe Sarah Jane went onto have two illeg children and then marry in 1887 where she gives her father's name as Samuel Rose and not John Williamson.
Any clues would be great.
Thank you
Best regards
Amanda

Thank you, Sandra.
I think 1871 is the crucial one here. I am assuming Sarah Jane's status is unmarried.
I wonder is she's been upto no-good with Farmer Sharp!
Thanks again.
Best regards

Hello Amanda,
That column was left blank for Sarah Jane Williamson in 1871. Yes, been up to no good "twice" ;)

Thank you, Sandra.
It just dawned on me that Sarah Jane doesn't appear to have been at home in 1851 either. It's hard to imagine your kids going out to work and not coming home.

I don't think so :( someone's playing guessing games. I think my guess is probably closer-

Thank you, Geoff.
Yes you are quite right. I did have a re-think about Sarah and came to the same conclusion when I just found the death in 1882. The marriage I found in 1887 was for a lady who was older.
Thank you also for the 1851 transcript.
Best regards
