Title: St Anne's ward 1861 Joseph Jackson
Post by: patc on Thursday 21 April 05 13:24 BST (UK)
Could someone please search the St Annes  for a Joseph Jackson b Uffington Lincs 1810 and his family.  He was in Lincs in 1851 but not 1861  then appeared in Nott'm 1871. Somewhere in between his first wife died and he remarried an Elizabeth and acquired stepchildren . I am trying to narrow down  his 2nd marriage date. On the 1871 he was in St annes ward St Marys  district. would appreciate any help
Thanks Patc

Joseph Jackson 1810  Hubbington, Lincolnshire, England Head Labourer St Mary  Nottinghamshire
Elizabeth Jackson 1816  Eaton, Leicestershire, England Wife  St Mary  Nottinghamshire
Eliza Jackson 1860  Wickham, Leicestershire, England Daughter  St Mary  Nottinghamshire
Frances Jackson 1851  Wickham, Leicestershire, England Daughter  St Mary  Nottinghamshire
John Jackson 1854  W Grantham, Lincolnshire, England Son  St Mary  Nottinghamshire

Living Milner's Yard

Joseph's birthplace does say Hubbington but this entry does seem to match up with 1871

Its no wonder I am having a hard job tracing this family  they are definately my Jacksons the birthplaces fit they are the same names at the same adress as on the 1871 but the dates of birth change all the time  in the 1871 it was
Elizabeth  b1811   Eaton  Leics
Eliza         b1848   Whykem Leics
Fanny       b1845   Colsterworth Lincs

Could it be that there are 2 Eliza's and a Fanny and a Frances and they are  going by the stepfathers name as I know his 1st wife Mary died in 1851?
A year or even 2 years difference i could understand but 12 years       Or is it just a mistake ?   any ideas anyone ?
