Hello,
This lady, also known as Jeane Beatty/Beaty, married an Edward Nalty from Kilcommon, Co Mayo.
She was sent from Cavan to Mayo due to the lack of Protestants in the area.
I have traced a Mary Jane Beatty born 19 June 1876, from Corleck Cavan. She had a ather called William Beatty and a sister MArgaret. Her mother was Elizabeth Hunter Beatty.
I cannot for certain link them, although the dates are a good match. Can anyone help, I am new to this and need a helping hand!
My Mum seems to remember that the Jane Beatty we are looking for had a stepmother, her mother died when she was young, or perhaps divorced.
Her stepmother had 2 children we think names Ida/Aa Sinclair, or Stclair? and a Bailey Wickam/Wickham. Apparently the step mum came from Northern Ireland? Lots of varients on these name spellings
Sorry for the vagueness - my Mum and Aunts are all in their 80's and 90's!
Would love to solve part of the family mystery for my dear old Mum.
Thanks for reading.

Hi Lili,
Have a look at these places, they both carry a lot of Batty'.
They come from another website, so if you just type the sites into the search box, they should come up.

Hello I am trying to trace the ancestry of my Gt Grandma Mary JAne Beatty, or variations of.
We know she was born in Cavan in 1876, and that her father was a William Beatty/ Beaty, who was a farmer.
Possible Baileborough or Cootehill connections.
Mary Jane Beatty married Edward Nalty in Mayo.
Trying to establish who her parents were and if she had siblings.
Her mother allegedly died, and her father remarried. Who was this lady?
She had a half sister called Ida Sinclair/stclair. Who emigrated to Australia circa early 1900's
Any information on Ida Sinclair greatly appreciated also.
Can anyone help?
Thank you for reading.
Best wishes,
Lilli

Hello,
there is a birth record of an Ida St Clair on Family Search
Belfast ; Jul - Sep quarter 1886
Vol: 1 Pg: 281
Is 1886 too late? You could send for that certificate to find the mother's name if it is a possibility.
best wishes
