Hi,  I have a possible match for my Emma Ball as an "inmate of penitentiary" in Walcot in 1851.
Does anyone know whether any records exist for this institution and if so where?

According to the national archives:  http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archon/searches/locresult_details.asp?LR=1
the records are in the Guildhall in Bath.
