Title: Issac Bailey
Post by: tom1950 on Monday 07 March 11 18:15 GMT (UK)
Trying to find a marriage for Issac Baily born ABT 1811 to
Sarah Halliday born ABT 1807. I do not know what part of Ireland that they were from. I know they immigrated to Canada ABT 1832. So I would think they were married around 1830- 1831. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

The marriage for Isaac and Sarah would be well before the start of Civil registration in Ireland so you would need to check the availability of parish records. To do this you need to know the family religion and where they lived (townland or town), or were married - i.e. the parish.

I found a baptismal record for the following;

ISAAC BAILY
Baptised 22 May 1815
Parish of Emlefad & Kilmorgan, Co. Sligo (This is a RC parish, today in Ballymote, Co. Sligo)
Parents William Baily & Violet Baily

I have also found a Will for William Bailey of Ballymote, dated 18 Apr 1827
