I have a little info about ships my ancestor was on but please is there a way to find out online where the ships went?

The ships list has some information and you may be able to find the shipping lines if you have the ships name.

If you have access to the BL Newspaper archive, you may be able to follow some of their movements through the shipping pages.

Other than that, you best bet ist to go to a library or archive where they have access to Lloyds List and Register, where you should be able to follow them via the microfiche's

Or, have you just tried googling them - try putting their names into the search box, then clicking on the news archive button. You never know something may pop up.

Or put their names on here and see if any one else has researched the same vessel.

When was this?  Do you know what line the ships belonged to?
As Ann says, put the names of the ships on the board and some of us might know about them - depending on the era of course.
