Title: Wellington 1821 census completed
Post by: dobbin on Monday 07 March 11 00:14 GMT (UK)
Hello
I would be most grateful if someone could do me a couple of look ups on the Wellington 1821 census please.
First is for Levi Whitehead born 1815 in Dawley.

Second is for one family of Dunnings with at least 3 children, Joseph Dunning born circa 1829, William Dunning b c 1825 and Sarah dunning Born circa 1823, they may or may not be with a stepmother Sarah.

Hope this is not too much to ask. I would appreciate this very much.
Thank you.

Sorry I meant to ask for help with the Dunnings on the 1841 census, not the 1821 , but I think I have now located these people. Thank you.

Hi MIke
Years ago someone gave me the details of a Cornes family in Wellington Shropshire (which provided the only proof I've ever had for this particular family) IT was WILIAM CORNES (and Sarah)

Is it searchable
are there any other Cornes families in the census?

Althea

Hi Althea, mixed results really, the household is:

Cornes,William aged 60 a jersey comber living New Street

Cornes,Sarah aged 39

Cornes, not named aged 12 shoemaker, son of William

Cornes, not named aged 14,daughter of William

Cornes, not named aged 3, daughter of William

Sarah & Williams relationship isn't stated

There's also an Esther Corne  :-\  aged 58 in the Poor House.

I don't know if that helps or not.

You're very welcome  :). Just to add that "son/daughter of William" is shown as there were no forenames judging by other entries where names are missing.
