Harry Bligh      (son)
Mary.A.Bligh    (Daug)
John Bligh       (son)
Fred Rawal     (relation)
William G Stagg (Relation)
Maud Bligh      (Grandad)
Ellen E Stagg  (Daughter)

to date i have not found him again, no birth, Married, nor death.

Who did he marry as there are 2 marriages for a William G Stagg between 1891 & 1901.  Your aunt will know her grandmothers name

1891 in Croydon to Phedora Wood and 1900 St George Hanover Sq to Maud Mary Field

The William Stagg married to Maud was a Metropolitan police constable in 1901 and was only b 1872

The 1901 also has a William George Stagg b Wiltshire 1864 married to Jane

The death of a William G Stagg is recorded in Paddington in Dec Q 1923 age 60 - could this be the one you want?

Also Baron, don't assume your info is 100% correct and don't rule out eg a death where the age is a year or two out.  You may also need to look on the census for "Stag" or Wm or William without the initial G in case other people have made mistakes.

So they never married?

1901 (should read 1891) shows Mary Bligh as single aged 25

Maud Bligh is 7 and Ellen Stagg is 7mths old

By 1901 Mary (as STAGG) is enumerated as widowed and a niece in an ELLIS family in Croydon. Also in the household are two STAGG children, Hannah (18 b Kentish Town) and Ellen (10 b Cattle Market, Islington).

1901 ref: RG13/644/77/43.

I wonder whether Hannah might be the same child enumerated in 1891 as Maud BLIGH (7 b St Pancras)? Having now seen her baptism as "Maud Hannah" posted by Carole, I would think that looks likely.

He did not marry Mary Ann Bligh and was not the father of either Minnie or Maud.  Minnie was only born in 1906

He appears to be the father of Ellen in as much as her birth was registered as Stagg

Births September qtr 1890

Ellen Elizabeth Stagg    Islington  1b 282

William died in 1893 as posted above and was not a vet - he was a groom

The free 1911 index shows S Stagg male b 1860 - where was S Stagg born and what was his occupation

How many years are they shown as married on the 1911 entry
