Where is the best place to start looking for the baptisms of some of my Limerick-born catholic relatives in the 1820s?
Names are Honora Barrett and Dennis Neville (both came to Australia in the 1830s) and Mary O'Connor.
Is there a central place in Limerick to search, or are the parish records in Dublin?
Thank you,
-
Do you know which part of Co. Limerick ?

I found the Barretts, so thank you very much for your advice.
There were five Barrett children born in shangolden between 1825 and 1835, parents Michael Barrett and Maria Connor, Connors, O'Connor.
Having been born in shanagolden, with a small parcel of land in Ballyhahill (tithe applotments) I am assuming that michael and maria were small farmers.
I have looked for the marriage of Michael and Maria, but no luck in Limerick through the roots genealogy site. I would be grateful for any suggestions aout where I might look for the marriage details.
Thanks

RC baptism and marriage records for Shanagolden parish go back to April 1824 - so it's likely that any marriage was a bit too early to be included.... there could also be earlier children to the couple

Thanks Shane, I have also found the Nevilles in the past couple of days, so I feel as though I have had a couple of terrific breakthroughs!

Any connection to the late Peter Neville of Belmont, Geelong by any chance? His widow Dorothy is a distant cousin of mine.
-
No, sorry, the Neville names I have are Dennis, Cornelius, Mrgaret, James, Michael and John.
