looking for william dodd b 1886 audenshaw lancs in canada. i have his war record
he was in the army in canada but came from audenshaw manchester
gave his next of kin as his mother at 95 guide lane hooley hill
audenshaw .
on his war record he signed his name in 1918 but was killed a year
later he was in. oc first depot btln ist quebec reg number 3081280 living at time he signed for the army at 1260.ethel st veroun quebec
what i would like to know is who he was living with at the adress
above and if he ever got married and had children
william dodd parents were john and elizabeth dodd

His Attestation Form states that he is single and the CWGC record states that he is the son of the late Mr and Mrs J Dodd with no wife listed so it doesn't appear that he married.
He doesn't appear in the Montreal Directory .. see link .. however if you look under 'Street Directory' for the years 1917-18 and 1918-9 you can see who else was at the address. Start with Serie Principale and it is basically English after that.

Automated genealogy shows that Wm Dodd was in the 1901 census, aged 14, but 1911 census doesn't show him at 24.
