Title: Genealogy site query
Post by: polidor on Thursday 03 March 11 20:46 GMT (UK)
Does anyone here use the My Heritage website for their tree ? If so, what is their opinion of it. Have they made any fresh contacts etc through it for instance.

I just happened on it advertised at the bottom of one of Rootschat pages and had a quick look but wondered if any of you had ventured there.  :) poli :)

Hi,

I signed in to it a while back, but haven't really used it, but I did get a 'Hot Match' for my maternal grandparents 104th Wedding Anniversary!!! this week, and there was a link entitled 'Would You Like To Buy A Present?' I leave you to draw your own conclusions!!

I have a small tree on there,to be honest I'd forgotten about it (I uninstalled the software from our PC as it was slowing it down) until I was contacted by someone in Australia. We've exchanged lots of useful information, so my one and only contact has turned out to be excellent.
