I'm hoping someone can help me find out a little more about my GGG grandparents and their family.
I've found the baptism entry for four of their children on the
Cambridgeshire Family History Society site but each entry has a * by it indicating that there is more than the normal information on the parish record so I was hoping that some kind person might be able to have a look at them.
What I know:
Isaac and Lucy Eat arrived in Australia in 1846 with the following children..
Eliz 16 years (c.1830)
Charlotte 14 years (c. 1832)
Maria 12 years (c. 1834)
Jacob 10 years (c. 1836)
William 10 years (c. 1836)
Reuben 4 years (c. 1842)
Susan 3 years (c. 1843)
Rebecca 1 year (c. 1845)
I have them on the '41 census in Papworth St Agnes with the following ages (and spellings):
Isick Heate 30 (1811)
Lucey 25 (1816)
Lizer 11 (1830)
Charlotte 9 (1832)
Mariah 7 (1834)
Jackob 6 (1834)
William 4 (1836)
Ruben 1mth (1841)
On the Cambridgeshire Family History Society site, I've found the following baptisms (all with the spelling EAT with parents Isaac and Lucy and all in the parish of Papworth Agnes:
Eliza 1830 (for her record only their abode was listed as Hilton)
Maria 1834
Charlotte 1834
Jacob 1836
I've searched for some record of the births of Reuben, Susan and Rebecca using numerous different spellings of first and last names, but can't seem to find anything remotely like them (a birth certificate for one of these three would hopefully give me a bit more info on their parents.
I do have a marriage in Holywell cum Needingworth, Cambridgeshire in 1829 between an Isaac EATT and a Lucy CAVE that I got from the IGI, but I have no way of knowing if it is the right Isaac and Lucy.
Thanks in advance,
Norma

The extra information in the parish register is usually the occupation of the father.
Papworth St Agnes and Holywell are about 6 miles apart with Hilton lying between them, a mile or so from Papworth. So I think you have the right marriage - the 1829 marriage in Hunts Marriage Index shows them both of the parish of Holywell, which is not a lot of help.
Papworth St Agnes baptisms for that period aren't on the IGI or BVRI, so you need to check the parish register, which can be done at your nearest LDS Family History Centre. In the early days of civil registration many births went unrecorded, but how about Rebecca Heat born in the March quarter 1845 in Caxton registration district, in which Papworth St Agnes lies? She might be yours.
The Baptism Index on the Cambs FHS has an 1807 baptism of Isaac Eat, aged 28 days, which is consistent with his age in the 1841 census where ages over 15 were rounded down to the nearest 5 below, so 30 covered a range of 30-34.

Hi Norma.
The extra information contained on the baptisms is 'otp lab' for 6 of them.
Eliza is, as you say, of Hilton, lab.
Charlotte has a bit more, she was baptised the same day in 1834 as Maria, otp lab baptised about 2 years ago now recd. into church.
They had an earlier son, Benjamin baptised 1840. Seems he was buried days later, no parents mentioned on the burial, just otp 2.

So not a lot of extra info lol. Thank you Selina and David.
mm, David, not sure how I managed to miss that birth for Rebecca. It certainly sounds like her.
Again thank you both for your help and time.
