Hi everyone my husbands great grandfather died in a roof Fall at Cresswell Colliery, his name was Thomas Mollatt and the accident happened 1943, were do i find the inquest information from, I have Thomas death certificate that don't give no clues about inquest

Hi again Rachael, I know the date still does not match, but did find this accident that may have caused a roof fall.
1938. 2nd June, Creswell Colliery, tub train accident, 3 died and a number injured.
No names listed though. It seems though that to be classified as a disaster, an accident or explosion at a mine has to claim at least ten lives. So sadly if only one or two died it would not make much news back then.
