Title: Sarah Brodie
Post by: BWIGGY1000 on Friday 25 February 11 17:11 GMT (UK)
Does anyone know any information regarding my great grandmother Sarah Brodie?
She was born in Avoch in 1874 and died there in 1918.
She was married to a Douglas McLeman in 1900.
They had the following children:
Janet Mcleman 1902 - ?
Katie Mcleman 1904 – 1984
Margaret Mcleman 1907 – 1986
Lewis Alexander Mcleman 1908 – 1944
Sarah Mcleman 1911 – 1954
Isabella Mcleman 1913 – 1996
Georgina McLeman 1915 –?
James Mcleman 1917 – 1991
I am tring to trace my ancestors further back.
I understand that her family are linked to the Brodies of Brodie Castle somewhere.
Can anyone help me?
Many thanks  :)

Hi Sarah

The site I find most useful is The Government site www. Scotlandspeople.gov.uk. They have all the offical records and it does not cost much. You can also down load the old records if you want.
