I am trying to find the entries of the 1911 Census for Wales for my wife's family but I am finding my returns. The one problem is the name of DAVIES. Thry lived in Gwyn Street,Alltwen, Cellibeddith,Pontadawe(exc use the spelling but I am English) The other grandparents lived in Llantrisant wand were called TILLING. Neither name brings an answer. "Findmypast" say that the householder filled in the form and the enumerator only filled in the head of household on the summary sheet. Was there a revolt in completeing the form? Please help as this causing me problems with she who must be obeyed. Gerald

Sorry if this is going to cause more trouble, but 1911 requests are not allowed here on RootsChat. Please look at these threads for guidance and suggestions on getting the best out of the free search of the index.

Are you using FindMyPast?
I used the 1911 address search.
Entered Gwyn Street and Pontardawe - 2nd entry is a Davies family, as is the 7th entry.
There may be others!
As for Tilling; if you enter just the surname and Glamorganshire as the county, you will get 34 results.
So, not too many to search for your family!
Have fun! :D

...Cellibeddith,Pontadawe
should be Cilybebyll, Pontardawe :)
