Hi everyone
Last week both this forum and the Military interest forum helped me put a name to a face by identifying a WWI uniform as being the badge of the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. As a result i managed to find a match with a member of my family - the gentleman in the original photograph is George Redfern, my great grandmothers brother on my fathers side. I was delighted and have since obtained his service record, which really helped bring him to life. He served in India and returned safely with a Meritious Service medal!
Anyway, since then I have gone through the family photos and managed to find another picture of him (out of uniform).
Would anyone be able to touch it up a little - it is quite damage although I have tried to crop the rough edges and also can anyone work out the date - I'm not sure whether this would be pre or post WWI? Thank you lovely people as always!

I'm afraid this could be either date. This style of suit was popular throughout the decade.

Thank you Irene - really apperciate it.
I keep looking at his hand (on the prop) and thinking it looks slightly odd? Does anyone else?
In the military photo of him he has his right hand on a bayonet and it looks perfectly normal! Maybe its the angle of this shot - or my eyes!
