I have very kindly been loaned this photo to share with my fellow Rootschatters.As a thank you I would like to return it with a colour version.So could you talented colourists please have a bash at it for me.
Also date please.

I have a photo of my father in a very similar suit and that would have been about 1914/1916

STUDIOS:  7 Margaret Terrace, Harrow Road, Paddington 1881 - 1882.
 5 Margaret Terrace, Harrow Road, Paddington 1883 - April 21 1887.
 99 Harrow Road, Paddington April 22 1887 - 1891.
 95 Harrow Road, Paddington 1891 - 1903. Aka Paddington Photographic Co. Successors to Thomas White; succeeded by Wilson & Sons.
1881: photographer living at 14 Victoria Street, Paddington.
1891: photographer living as above.
1901: photographer living at 95 Harrow Road, Paddington.
Died in Paddington 1905.

Hippy that is a lovely colour and very sympathetic to the original,thank you,the owner will be thrilled with it.

Thank you Sussexbb,that's beautiful.I'm very impressed with the attention to detail,such as on the laces.It could be one of those old Pear's soap advertisements.

Aw thank you Irene,as per usual with you,an absolutely brilliant colour.Great subject isn't it.Of course I will have to print a copy of all responses for the lady who loaned it to me...........better go buy some ink ;D

Hi George :)

The date code on the back of this one seems to be for 1893, which would fit with the design of cherubs and camera ( ::) ;D  ), give it a year or two afterwards and say 1893-1895 or so.

Beautiful restorations and colourings, everyone!  :D

Har har rsinbad,with a user name like that the nautical theme was always going to grab you ;D.Lovely colour suits the subject perfectly,thank you very much.I agree with Prue,fantastic work all round.

Prue thank you for the date.I can now hand the photo back with several colour versions,info on the photographer and a date,bravo everyone.

Yes true until recently i was Captain of my own ship hence rsinbad ;)
