There are several EDGES listed in Ellesmere on census, and on the FamilySearch site https://www.familysearch.org
What sort of dates are you looking for? Do you have any forenames for this family?

I have 2 EDGE families in Ellesmere both males named THOMAS with a wife named ELIZABETH around the early 1800s.
I have traced one to BISHOPS HOUSE, which I went to see 2 years ago, I am trying to see if any Edges there now are related. My Edge,THOMAS moved to West Bromwich then to Birmingham, where he died.

I am closely related to the Edge family from Shropshire. My great grandmother was Saran Ann Edge and I know some of her family came from that area, have you any more info?

I meant to say John Edge who was my great-great-great grandfather came from Ellesmere and was born there in 1813.They then moved to Hanmer and later English Frankton, which are within a couple of miles of Ellesmere. They then moved to Prees and my great grandmother Sarah Ann Edge then finally settled in Whitchurch, Shropshire and she married my great grandfather Clifford Jackson. I have lots of information on the Edge family as I have been researching them for a long time. I am sure there must be a connection but I need to know who your direct ancestor is and then I can check if he or she is there. I would love to hear from you.

I'm actively researching the Edge family for my partner, specifically focusing on the Edges connected to Bridgnorth/Shropshire. My main line is with Alfred Edge (1866-1936) of Bridgnorth, who married Matilda Brown. I'm assuming that the Bridgnorth Edges are connected to the broader Shropshire Edge families. If you have any interest in this line, I have a good deal of research already compiled that I'd be happy to share.
