Would appreciate any input on the following columns on the attached birth certificate:
Text underneath mother's name, residence & under the date of birth.

This girl was with Fred* Smith in the 1891 census, with a Grandmother - Maria Smith - aged 61 ...

This is my husband's grandfather, family rumour was that he was left on a doorstep, wondering if this was the case OR he was the illegitimate son of Maria Smith (daughter).

I really like puzzles! The more I look at your cert, I don't think the word after the "a" word is Solihull but could be ? something Rector. What do you think? I can't make "abandoned" out of the third word but maybe some other eyes might ....
