Hello Johnl.
Have just noticed your messgae - sorry for delay

Hello,
I have lost my copy of my reply to your original question, but, in essence, my G.G.Grandfather was Henry Stephenson who married Elizabeth Smith in about 1859. One of their children (Jane) married William Farrow in 1892. I have plenty of information on the Stephenson's and their descendants but little on the Farrows'

Hello,
My apologies - i have just joined the dots and realised you did post a reply to my ancestry account back in February! I am still new at this and strugle with the technology at times.
Elizabeth Smith was my great grand aunt (her brother Richard Smith was my great grandfather). I have got Elizabeth and Henry's children as follows;
John
Thomas
Benjamin
Henry
Jane
I have a lot of information on Benjamin (who married Isabelle Beadnell?) and Jane (who married William Farrow) but nothing on the other sons, if you have any further information that you are happy to share I would love to hear about it.
Best Regards,
Will

Hello Will,
Your latest appears to confirm that we are looking at the same families, I do not know how you feel about placing information on individuals on a publicly accessible 'chat site' but I tend to be quite guarded, with little or no mention of those that are still with us. Thatbeingsaid - I have a record of one further child of the Stephensons, that of Isaac, who was born in 1862 and died in 1865 - no details other than the following from his headstone in Merrington Parish Church viz: 'Also Isaac son of the above (Henry), who died in infancy'
The Church records show date of burial as 3rd. May 1865 with age at death as 1 year and nine months.
Regards,
John.

Hello J.R.
If we are talking about the same Isaac (and I think we are) I would be pleased to hear of other Stephensons in Kirk Merrington that you may have info on.

hi, I have similar details, but dates are very different! I have my 4 x g.grandfather married jane smith kirk merrington 1792. the only William farrow I have is their son William b1797. I have a lot of information from their descendants, sue

Hello Suebrew,
I am having difficulties on locating the Farrows/Smiths that you detail, my Farrows start with William (born about 1768) he married a Margaret Smith in about 1800 - do these have a place in your tree?

hi John, the only William Farrow I have from around that time is the son of john farrow (1770) and jane smith (1770) who married in kirk Merrington in 1792. now, if the information I have is wrong, that would change a whole century in my family tree!!
I was sent this info years ago by a john farrow (no relation to my farrow branch) who had done an enormous amount of research on the name! unfortunately I cannot find that info to hand. I think its time I had a view of the church records to verify what he told me . . . . .

Hello Sue,
The info you have on the marriage of John Farrow and Jane Smith (12th April 1792) is correct - I must assume that my 'Farrows' come further down the tree.
