Hi
I would appreciate any information on Edwin Lewis b1833 Mold Flintshire. I am at a dead end at this point, the only other information that I have other than the following census data is that his wifes (Jane) maiden name was Hancox
Thanks

Hi Bill
Have you seen the baptism on www.familysearch.org (beta version).
This seems to fit.
cheers

ps
Search under Flintshire as place although the baptism is in Mold. There is also a possible marriage in Llansilin, Denbighshire

Hi Peter
Thank you for the time and trouble re looking up Edwin Lewis b1833, much appreciated.
I have looked at both of your suggestions:

Sorry about the double reply
Hi Peter
Thank you for the time and trouble re looking up Edwin Lewis b1833, much appreciated.
I have looked at both of your suggestions:
1: The baptism seems to be a perfect match with the info that I already have
2: Unfortunately I have been unable to locate the possible marriage in Llansilin, Denbighshire
All gets a bit dubious as the years slip away, still very interesting. Without the internet this, at least for myself, would be impossible and you meet nice people. Our own family history web page has lead us in many directions and I hope has been a bit of a help to others.

Hi Bill
Try a search for the marriage under Denbighshire. The bride is Anne Francis and the wedding was on 4 March 1825 in Llansilin. It is not that close I must admit to Mold but the best or in fact the only one I could see.
I am sure there are many Canadians researching in the UK and a lady with the user name Hiraeth from Vancouver is now the moderator for Caernarvonshire and also regularly features to help others on the other North Wales boards.
I see that Burslem features very much on your webpage. I did work there for 6 months before I retired and live on the south of the city although practically all my relatives are Welsh.
Regards
Peter

Hello again
Looking at the LDS IGI site there is a wedding between an Edward Lewis and a Anne Jane Pettigrew in 30 Nov 1819 in Chester. That might more sense than Llansilin as it is nearer and many Welsh people married in Chester (and Liverpool) including my grandparents although I appreciate it is a little early.
