Title: McBay of Johnshaven
Post by: macca14 on Thursday 03 February 11 03:02 GMT (UK)
I am new to RootsChat and exicted about the possibilities.  I have been fiddling with my family history on and off for many years.   My GGF John McBay born July 1880 in Johnshaven died 23 Nov 1966 Johnshaven.  John married Edith Blyth Feb 1907. Would love anyone with local info on area or any family still around or who can suggest where I visit when there in April?
Thanks
Wendy :)

johnshaven cemetery and benholm church are worth a visit if you have family
in that area
we visited the church about 5 years ago(no longer in use) and were given
access to it
JeanP has a post on here for benholm kirkyard that might be worth a look
