Title: Vernons of Bothamsall and Misterton

Hi All,

I wonder if there is any one out there who may be able to help - there are not that many Vernons in the Bothamsall and Misterton area and I wondered if someone would be able to do a marriage look up for the name of Vernon in these two villages?

Vernon can be spelt several different ways: VERNON, VERNOM, VERNHAM

I hope someone can help.

Are there any dates you are interested in,there are marriages from 1682 to 1896.I can give you them all if you want.

I found a couple of Misterton stray marriages that may be yours

Roger Vernon & Bridget Lee both of Misterton married 16 Jan 1734 at Beckingham, Notts

Thos Varnham of Misterton & Mary Gelder of Gringley on the Hill married 23 July 1715 at East Retford by licence.

Thank you very much for the information regarding Roger and Bridgett - its interested that they were married in Beckingham - I don't think I've looked at these registers.

Also I didn't know that Thos. and Mary married by licence - that may prove fruitful info too.

So these marriages may be the same Roger.
