on the marriage cert of my Gt Gt grandmother Elizabeth Williams (Born in Beaumaris) who married 1866 in Llanbedr , Conway. her residence is written as Kimplau Vicarage, Kimplau, I Know that K is a unusual letter in the Welsh language, Can anyone help shed light on the location.

What you are looking for is Llanbedr-y-Cennin maybe the second part of the village name could be what you are looking at in the certificate,the vicar lived in place called Caerhun a few miles along the road maybe she was living there as a domestic servent for the cleric and married her at his church in Llanbedr-y-Cennin in the Conwy Valley
