Hi Roydie  :)

What a beautiful photo  :D

I'd say this is a 1910s/early 20s reprint of something quite a bit earlier - possibly 1850s or 60s. 
I'm not sure about this but that's my intial thought...I'll be happier if China/Jim/OR would come along and confirm (but hopefully not deny!) this.

Just what I was thinking...definitely a reprint of a much earlier photo, early 1860s at the least, not later than about 1865. The bodice is a bit unusual, but I can't see enough to pin an earlier date down.

okay, thats interesting!
this lady had children  1850,51,53,55,57,60,62  and 1865, and I have a photo of her looking a lot different than this and heavily pregnant, will have to post it up too.

The studio in the second photo was set up in the 1860's, so I figure this has to be her 1865 baby :)
