Title: Marriage John PAGE
Post by: agj183 on Saturday 29 January 11 10:06 GMT (UK)
Hi

Trying to find a marriage for a JOHN PAGE.  The listing could be at the Beaconsfield Church which I understand is the United Reform Church or a St Michales and All angels Parish Church in Hughenden or whatever churches were in these two villages before 1725.   John was born in 21.6. 1667 in Beaconsfield.  (IGI)   His one known son is WILLIAM.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thanks Ann

Looking at familysearch.org I can find 2 possibilities in Buckinghamshire.....

John Page married Christian Jefferies on 29th September 1707 at Chesham-bois

John Page married Katherine Simms on 3rd November 1709 at Broughton by Fenny Stratford

Hope this helps......

No marriage at St Marys with All Saints Beaconsfield acording to Bucks FHS CD.

(? typo on baptism date - should read 1677)

Parents shown as William and Martha Page

Thank you everyone.

Yes the birthdate was a typo.  It should have been 1677.  I took that from the IGI site.   Sorry.

Thank you Alison for looking up the All Saint Church registers on the BFHS CD.  Does it have registers going back as far as the early 1700s?

I think there was also a Uniting Reform Church in Beaconsfield at that time.   I fell over that yesterday but I don't know what it is.    Does anyone have any ideas?

Kind regards  Ann

The registers on the CD start at 1540 for burials, 1575 for baptisms and marriages.
There are 9 Page burials, 4 Page marriages.
Under baptisms there is a William Page baptised 1673, then the William as before, a gap to 1730 where there are a few to 1738 then a gap to 1804 and another to 1840.
No idea about the other church.

Hi

Thank you Allison.   I think I better get the CD.    Too many Pages in too many places.  It's all very confusing.

Cheers  Ann.
