Title: Isted/remiss
Post by: Wozza on Tuesday 18 January 11 00:48 GMT (UK)
G'day to all of you chatterbugs who have been so supportive in my ISTED quest. I have
an awful feeling that I may have missed replying to some of you, soooo! right here and
now please accept my heartfelt thank's.  :D and apologies. :-[

I'm at a loose end for the moment, don't know which way to go  :-\.

I have been looking at burials, people die, so they bury 'em right? well so far I have only
found one, that being of George Isted 22 November 1883, at St. Peter ( churchyard ),
Ashburnham. I can't find his wife Mary, she died in 1890 aged 73 yrs. Where would you
look for burials in that time period? I actually have couple in that time frame.

Regards,

Wozza  :)

I am at a bit of a loose end at the moment, not too sure of which way to go. :-\  Burials
are something that I have been looking at, but having no success. So far I have only
found George Isted who was buried 22 November 1883, in the churchyard of St.Peter,
Parish church of Ashburnham. :'( His wife Mary ( nee Morley ) died in 1890 aged 73 yrs. but I can't find a record for her. ::) Some other family members died 1945, 1948 etc. I
need to know if it is possible to track them in that time frame. :D

A little while ago I posted this message, but somehow in my confused mind it seems
that I was in the wrong place. Hopefully I'll get it right this time.  :P

Best wishes
Wozza  :)

As many churchyards became full people were buried in municipal cemeteries.  Check out the local council website for bereavement services.  They should have details.

Do you know for certain that she died in the Ashburnham area?  She could have gone to live with a relative later in life and been buried far from Ashburnham.

Did Mary remarry?  If she did she would have been buried under a different name.
