Hi All
Hoping someone can help. Information at hand is as follows:
Johanna Dunleay arrived on the Neptune on 11th Feb 1844 in Sydney. Daughter of William Dunleay and Ellen as listed on her immigration papers.
Johanna was sent to work for a Mrs Morris of Penrith,Sydney. I have not been able to find her since. I have searched all the websites I can think off but to no avail.
Anyone related to this lady?
Anyone know anything about Mrs Morris?
Johanna's cousin Michael O'Brien arrived in 1845 and he lists Johanna Dunleay as a relative in the colony.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi biddy
This is a bit of a long shot
Johanna Donelly m George JORDAN 1846 Penrith #VC??
Johanna JORDAN d 1879 Penrith #8388 - adding: no parents listed
The name on arrival records is shown as Dunleay, Dunley and Dunlay.
Being Irish it could well be badly transcibed on the marriage records :-\

Hi Annie
Thanks for that. I had seen that entry on NSW BDM, but previous experience has taught me not to go with the first entry that looks like it will fit. I don't suppose you know if Penrith has the original registers somewhere I could look at?
Thanks again.
Cheers
