Hi Jaye,
If you reduce the page to 50%it seems clearer, and it looks like Seals?
I would agree with Hinch for the second one.
Best wishes,

Not too certain but could the second name have '...WICK' at the end - HAWICK/HOWICK?
Good luck with your research - Lyn S

My first thought was COATS on the first one, but not too confident about it. The C is the same as on the Charles in the second entry.

Could the second be 'ffinch' ?
I also favour Coats for the first.
-
No opinion on the first one.
The second one does resemble a double 'f', but because
the other 'f's have such a prominent tail below the line,
I would suggest 'Hinch' as the most likely.

Good point veeblevort, but going through the alphabet, how many times does an upper case letter resemble the lower case?
Aa, Bb, Cc (this is the modern script), Dd, Ee - etc, etc. ;D ;D
-
Excellent point CC, and how many times is it smaller? ;D ;D ;D
