Title: Collomore/Kane of Cork
Post by: Hapenny on Friday 15 April 05 22:09 BST (UK)
Has ANYONE heard of the surname COLLOMORE in Cork? I am trying to find Thomas Collomore b1845; married Mary Kane b1848, both of Cork; went to America around 1869. His father's name was JOHN, mother's unknown. I understand this name is more prevalent in England (Wales), and I've been unsuccessful in locating this name anywhere in Ireland. His granddaughter here in the US was told that Thomas and Mary were both from Cork. I have been looking through Griffith's (partial) with no luck so far.

HELP!!! and thank you.

There's some good links on this website that might be worth a look.  Kate (whose website it is, is also a member of Rootschat!)

Sorry to be late in replying but I want to thank you for your advice.  You are the only one to respond to my request so far and the reliability of the link has been wonderful.

Cheers, Lad.
